This strategy also aligns with streaming platforms’ algorithms, as multiple releases can lead to increased visibility and exposure on digital music platforms.

DJ Shon’s decision to release a 6-song EP before the main release is a strategic move that aligns with current trends in the music industry. This approach allows him to build anticipation and engage his audience in a more sustained manner. By releasing a smaller collection of songs first, DJ Shon can gauge the audience’s response and use it to inform the subsequent full album release. Additionally, this strategy enables him to maintain a consistent presence in the music scene and keep his fans excited about his upcoming work.
