Rather than rushing music out, the trio took their time crafting a project built around a distinct sound, a visual world, and a deeply personal story rooted in Los Angeles. 
 
For $amaad, the project serves as one of his most direct reflections of the city that raised him. Long before music, baseball was his first passion. Many of his earliest memories came from playing for the Watts Reds, alongside friends who remain a part of his life today. Growing up on films like Hardball, where he earned the nickname “G-Baby,” those experiences would later become part of the DNA of this record. 
 
The result is a project that blends LA culture, childhood nostalgia, street narratives, late-night reflections, and the realities of growing up in South Los Angeles. 
 
The release also marks a full-circle moment. Through Anwar Carrots, $amaad was given the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from artists he admired growing up, helping bridge generations of Los Angeles creativity. 
 
This isn’t just another tape—it’s a time capsule, a love letter to the city, and a glimpse into the world that shaped its creators.
